This top is cut from silk georgette yardage and trimmed with vintage Turkish oya—a type of fine decorative lace (often featuring beads) that dates back as far as the 8th century B.C. Oya is usually crocheted with botanic motifs or florals, as seen here. All beading was carefully hand-applied due to the delicacy of the trim.
